Adrienne Hindmarsh
Adrienne is a vocalist with a unique voice, often compared to the female singers from the 1950's
big band swing era. She is also a dynamic Hammond organist with immense skill in the style of jazz
organ. Entirely self taught, Adrienne put together her skill on the jazz organ in her home country
New Zealand, where she transcribed recordings by Jimmy Smith, Groove Holmes and Jack McDuff. Her
repertoire includes jazz standards, Bossanovas and popular tunes from artists such as Norah Jones
and Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Due to the lack of jazz organists in her native country New Zealand, Adrienne relocated to the USA in June 2008 to pursue her career in music and performs regularly in NY, where she now lives. |
