Alan Ghreen
Alan was a pianist, a bluesman, member of the Brazilian band Big Allanbik who also
recorded on his own and in cooperation with guitarist Big Gilson. A trip to America
to research blues figures (from Professor Longhair to Lightnin' Hopkins to Jerry Lee
Lewis) caused him to go back to Rio de Janeiro with a renewed sense of purpose and
record a blues album in a more relaxed setting. The results, Yellow Mojo Blues (Alan
on piano), appeared on TopCat in 1998. Alan died in 2005.
