Antoine Hervier
Antoine (* 1971) started his piano lessons at age 5. Later, he studied at the Conservatoire National
de Région in Tours. But the jazz dominated his musical feelings: Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson,
Bud Powell, Kenny Barron a.s.f., these were the heroes. Consequently, Antoine foud his way to the
workshop SYRINX in Poitiers, after that to the C.I.M. (Centre d'Informations Musicales) in Paris,
where he studied piano with Samy Abenaî, and harmony with J.C. Fohrenbach.
At that time, Antoine discovered the Hammond organ, and began to develop a certain passion for it.
In 2003, he founded the Antoine Hervier Trio with himself at the piano and at the organ.
