César Pastre
César (*1994 in Montpellier) is a jJzz and blues pianist and organist, composer, and producer. Immersed in swing music since his early childhood, he was self-taught before joining the Conservatoire municipal Nadia et Lili Boulanger in Paris, whose jazz class is led by Nicolas Dary: a breeding ground where one learns cultural jazz with teachers capable of dynamically transmitting the tradition: Luigi Grasso, Guillaume Naud, Fabien Mary, Gilles Réa, among others.

Fresh out of school, César, who pursued a parallel curriculum on the jazz scene with his father, particularly at the Caveau de La Huchette, has become a pianist with a very colorful style influenced by the blues. He is not lacking in activity, as a member of the bands Drew Davies and Stéphane Roger or as a sideman for Paddy Sherlock and Ellen Birath, within their trio Ella & Louis, and for Marie-Laure Célisse whom he accompanied on her first opus. Finally, on the stage of La Huchette or elsewhere, César regularly meets Michel for intergenerational exchanges and sometimes for replacements within Michel Pastre's big band, as was the case at the Méridien in 2016.
