Jean-Claude Pelletier
Jean-Claude (*1928 in Joinville le Pont) was a jazz pianist, composer, arranger and conductor. He began his music studies at the Conservatoire National de Musique in Paris at the age of 10 in 1938. Jean-Claude studied piano, music theory and harmony there until 1948. After playing in jazz orchestras, he worked as an arranger for the Columbia label in 1956 then for Vogue in 1958. He has arranged for cinema, television or popular music. Jean-Claude worked together among others with Benny Vasseur, Claude Luter, Lionel Hampton, Guy Lafitte, Bill Coleman, Géo Daly, Pierre Sellin, Michel de Villers, Peanuts Holland, Sidney Bechet, in the later 1960s mit Baro Ferret, Stuff Smith and vocalist Edith Wilson. In the field of jazz he was involved in 44 recording sessions between 1950 and 1975.
 
Jean-Claude died in 1982.
