Antonin Rayon
Antonin (*1976) is a pianist and organist. He began piano lessons at the age of
six, first with Victoria Melki in Paris, and then studied at the Ecole de Jazz
et de Musiques Actuelles in Lausanne and at the Conservatoire de Nîmes. From
the early 2000s, he worked primarily as a keyboardist and organist with, among
others, Marc Ducret, Alexandra Grimal, and Sylvaine Hélary (Spring Roll). In 2013,
he recorded the album Warrior (Marge) in New York City as part of a quartet with
Richard Bonnet, Tony Malaby, and Tom Rainey. As a pianist, he has performed with
Marc Ducret (Tower Bridge, 2014) and Dominique Pifarély (Tracé provisoire, ECM 2016).
With a quartet around Gilles Coronado, he recorded the album Au Pire, Un Bien (2016)
and was also presented at the Berlin Jazzdor Festival.
