Locko Richter
Otto "Locko" Richter started his career in the Krautrock supergroup Kickbit Information.
He is "Schweinfurt's Alexis Korner," writes a listener of the Bayrischer Rundfunk. He was
also a member of Aera and "lived in a wild shared apartment" with Göck of Suzi Cream
Cheese, thus "connecting the Schweinfurt jazz rock generation with the 60s garage bands."
Locko is best known with Missus Beastly on 1978's "Space Guerilla" and with Aera for concerts
in 1979.
Just as Alexis Korner, a member of the blues generation in London, once pushed the Rolling Stones forward. Locko and Suzi Cream Cheese often jammed together in a demolished building on Schweinfurt's Bahnhofstrasse, inspiring each other. Locko had various bands, including the Locko Richter Agreement and Skipjack. Skipjack featured Eugen de Ryck on guitar, who today blends jazz rock with bossa nova. partially from discogs and from Zündfunk |
