Simon Davies
Simon originates from Birmingham and began playing piano and violin from an early
age and later explored and found his own style on guitar. He developed his ear as
his influences changed and honed in on creating his own sound and songs, independently
and with others. Influences range from The Beatles, Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, Fleetwood
Mac, Chilly Gonzalez, Susanne Sundfør, Jacob Collier and Snarky Puppy (plus the rest).
Simon has played in a range of bands, with early bands such as The Tone Thieves supporting The Ordinary Boys, Nizlopi and Dan Smith (Bastille). He has also worked closely with artist such as Chris Tye (Birmingham Singer/Songwriter) and can often be seen with this hypnotic talent alongside Jayne Powell. |
