Witold Janiak
Witold is a pianist, Hammond player, composer, and arranger. He won the Grand Prix of the Bielska Zadymka Jazz Festival, the Grand Prix of the Krokus Jazz Festival, and the Contemporary Music Competition in Kraków. He holds a Doctor of Fine Arts in the discipline of "Musical Arts."
 
Witold has participated in festivals such as Jazzy Colours in Paris, the Festival de I UE in Algeria, Stuttgart Nacht, the Jazz Pianists Festival in Kalisz, the Freedom Jazz Festival, the Jazztopad Festival in Wrocław, the Krokus Jazz Festival in Jelenia Góra, the Bielska Zadymka Jazz Festival, the Chamber Music Festival in Łańcut, and the Pianos of Freedom. He participated in the renowned "Concerto for 21 Pianos" project, where he performed, among other pieces, his own composition for improvising piano and orchestra. He has given two solo concerts in the Yehudi Menuhin Hall at the European Parliament in Brussels. He also performed twice at the EXPO trade fairs – in Milan and Dubai. He teaches piano, harmony, and chamber ensembles at the Akademia Muzyczna in Łódź, and piano and Hammond organ at the Akademia Muzyczna in Wrocław.
 
Witold is a two-time winner of the "Jazz Oscar" awarded by the Melomani jazz association. He has collaborated with artists such as Zbigniew Namysłowski, Cezary Konrad, Rafał Sarnecki, Maciej Kądziela, Marek Kądziela, Krzysztof Ścierański, Tatiana Okupnik, and Monika Brodka.
 
He has released seven original albums and made numerous radio and television recordings.
