Cliff Barnes
Cliff is a versatile multi-instrumentalist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, renowned for his work as an organist, pianist, and bassist in the jazz and gospel scenes. From a young age, Barnes showed a natural fascination with musical instruments and an innate talent for playing them. Through dedicated study, commitment, and practice, he transformed his childhood dream into a professional career, performing for packed audiences across various venues.

Barnes excels in genres ranging from gospel to jazz, often showcasing a soulful and dynamic approach on the Hammond organ in classic organ trio formats. His performances have graced stages at notable Pittsburgh spots such as Con Alma, the Backstage Bar at Theater Square, the Greer Cabaret Lounge, and City of Asylum, as well as events like the Reservoir of Jazz series and BNY Mellon JazzLive. He has also appeared at venues beyond Pittsburgh, including BLU Jazz+ in Akron, Ohio. Throughout his career, Barnes has shared the stage and recorded with acclaimed artists, including David Sanborn; Pieces of a Dream; Gerald Veasley; Phil Perry; Johnny Gill; Chris Potter; Marcus Miller (contributing to Miller's 2015 album Afrodeezia).

He has served as Music Director for the Black Nativity production at the University of Pittsburgh and participated in projects honoring jazz legends, such as arrangements for big band tributes to Marian McPartland.
