Glennda Currence Glennda is a newcomer to the world of Hammond B-3 and jazz. A classically trained pianist, starting piano lessons at age 5, she acquired a Bachelors in Music Education from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. That degree led to a wonderfully rewarding career as an elementary music teacher. Working with elementary age students, seeing their faces light up with a love and appreciation of music was a priceless reward!   Halfway through her career she switched gears to become an elementary counselor; yet not leaving music behind when in 2006 she became the full-time pianist with her husband's jazz band "The RiverCity6". It started a new exciting musical adventure - learning and playing jazz!   By 2016, she began sitting in with Ron Tegeler's jazz trio, adding some piano flourish. Her husband sparked an interest in exploring the Hammond B-3 organ. Starting as a novice, they purchased a digital Hammond B-3. After attending a Jamey Aebersold Jazz camp in 2017, where she met and worked with the infamous Bobby Floyd, she was sold!!! She is now full-time Hammond B-3 organ player with Ron on guitar and Kirk, her husband, on drums. They released their first CD in 2021.
