Molly MacMillan
Molly is a pianist and vocalist. She received a music degree at Ithaca College, and remained in Ithaca to become known as one of the area's foremost jazz pianists. Molly has been a long-time member of the Central New York music scene, performing with Peggy Haine's legendary group, the "Low Down Alligator Jazz Band" and countless other ensembles since the 1980s. She plays with the Hotfoot Club, and the Molly MacMillan trio with Doug Robinson on upright bass and Mike Wellen on drums. The trio has a long history of dedication to the challenging music of Wayne Shorter, Bill Evans, Chick Corea, David Arnay, Maria Schneider, Fred Hersch, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and many others. Molly is also an active music teacher.
