(Takafumi Suenaga)
Influenced by his parents, Takafumi started playing the piano from an early age and had an interest in various kinds of music. He studied piano by himself and performed with professional musicians mainly in his hometown. After he graduated from university, he went to the United States. He studied under Danilo Perez, John Patittuch, and Joe Lovano, and was active mainly in the New York area. In 2018, he returned to Tokyo/Japan. In 2020, Takafumi released his first leader trio album "Greeting".
 
Takafumi worked with famous musicians such as Danilo Perez, John Patittuchi, Joe Lovano, Antonio Sanchez, Terence Blanchard, Miguel Zenon, Myron Walden,Patrick Bartley, Adam Neely, Sadao Watanabe, Jun Ikeda, Tomonao Hara, Tamaya Honda, Kazuhiko Kondo, Fukushi Tainaka.
