George Gruntz
His native country is Switzerland, but meanwhile he belongs to the international jazz scene. He has worked a lot
in Germany, together with Klaus Doldinger, Emil Mangelsdorff, conducted the Radio Big Band Leipzig and directed
the Berliner Jazz Fest between 1972 and 1995. Pianist, composer, arranger, conductor are his main activities.
George Gruntz on the organ? Unfortunately only one album has found its way into my archives: "St. Peter Power",
on which George plays the church organ, accompanied by Eberhard Weber and Daniel Humair (recorded in 1968).
A superb album!
