Bobby Pierce
Bobby was born in Columbus/OH. His recording career began at age 13 as a
pianist, vocalist and organist. His way led him to the West Coast via
Chicago and New York.
Bobby has performed concert series with such famous artists like Clark Terry, Benny Carter, Tom Scott, Louie Bellson, Frank Foster and Art Blakey. He worked extensively for the James Moody Quartet and traveled with Sonny Stitt and Gene Ammons. Bobby backed Etta James, Benny King, The Four Tops, Joe Williams, Dionne Warwick and many more. Bobby also is involved with gospel music. He arranged for and directed gospel choirs in and about Los Angeles. He toured Europe as well as the former USSR and Japan. Important to mention are his many activities in TV productions. |
