Andreas WermelingAndreas Wermeling was born 1959 in Greven/Germany and started lessons of church organ at the age of 12 only. After finishing school, his way lead him to the University of Münster where he studied the sciences of music and theology. From 1983, Andreas continued his musical education in Dortmund with a study of catholic church music. Since 1989, he is organist at St. Antonius in Rheine/Germany.
Beside his love for classical organ music Wermeling always has taken part in jazz and rock bands of various styles. He devotes himself to compositions and improvisations of his own, combining classical styles with modern jazz or rock which ends up in a very personal and perculiar way of playing the pipe organ.
