Mike Gorman
Mike Gorman was born in Sheffield. After completing a Music Degree at University College Salford,
he moved to London in 1995.
As an organist he has toured extensively with guitarist Jim Mullen's trio, with whom he has recorded two CDs, and has performed in bands featuring guitarists Mike Outram, Dave Cliff, John Etheridge, Colin Oxley and Nigel Price, saxophonists Stan Sultzmann, David Binney, and vocalist David Tughan (on who's CD he also features). As a pianist / keyboardist, Mike has toured and/or recorded with a diverse range of artists including jazz funk bands Us3 and Incognito, soul / blues artists Marlena Shaw, Gwen McCrae, Jimmy Witherspoon, Hamish Stuart, and many jazz artists from both USA and UK, such as (USA) Charles Mc Pherson, Bill Watrous, Ken Peplowski, Lanny Morgan, (UK) Alan Skidmore, Peter King, Don Weller, Bobby Wellins, Georgie Fame, Stacey Kent, Guy Barker, Danny Moss. |
