Dan Kostelnik
Apart from extensive schooling on the road Dan studied piano at William Paterson College with
Harold Mabern and also with Rufus Reid. Working in the clubs in and around Philadilphia,
New York and New Jersey he knows the different styles of his instrument and has integrated
them into his own unmistakable sound.
In the past he has shared the stage with Art Farmer, Jimmy Heath, James Moody, Eddie Gladden, Jeanie Bryson, Peter Bernstein, Little Jimmy Scott, Al Foster, Bobby Watson, Chet Atkins and many more. Since 1996 he has been working continually with German guitarist Michael Arlt's WE THREE, both on extensive European tours and on CDs. Guest musicians with the band have included José Cortijo, Tony Lakatos und Roman Schwaller. |
