Andreas Böttcher
Andreas "Scotty" Böttcher (*1962) began piano lessons age of six. Later, from 1979 till 1984, he studied the jazz piano with Günther Hörig and composition with Rainer Lischka at the Musikhochschule in Dresden. During this time, he taught himself the vibes, the electric bass and the drums. He has been playing the vibes since 1982 with a chamber music project called "Bach and Blues Dresden".

From 1984 till 1989, he played keyboard with the Dresden rock and pop band "Syncopators" and founded and directed the fusion band "Frühlingstraße 15". In 1990, Böttcher was awarded a prize at the International Jazz Improvisation Competition in Katowice/Poland. Since 1992, he has been playing the piano, the organ, the synthesizer, the vibes and the electric bass during annual concert tours with the US American drummer Lou Grassi. Since 1994, he toured with the Texan Mack Goldsbury who plays saxes, flute and clarinet.

In 1996, Andreas started improvising on the church organ and performed on many concerts since then.
