Alberto Marsico

Alberto Marsico works as a professional musician since fifteen years. He started to play gigs as a Hammond organ soloist since 1994 after his workshops with the great Hammond masters Brother Jack Mc Duff and Shirley Scott. Since then he toured all over Europe (Rom, Berlin, Bruxelles, Den Haag, Ljubljana, Barcelona, Zagreb, Lisboa, Paris) and in San Francisco, where he also recorded with Anthony Paule.

Alberto ranges himself between jazz, soul, blues, funk and gospel, but what he loves more is playing with singers. He played on almost twenty albums and performed in a lot of festivals with such artists as Jimmy Witherspoon, Phil Guy, Sonny Rhodes, Ollie Nightingale, David Hudson, Christian Rover, Bobby Durham, Alex Schultz, Mike Turk and Kenny Burrell. Since 2001, he is constantly working with American guitarist Tino Gonzales in big festivals and theatres throughout Europe. In 2002, Alberto started a project with the Czech players Roman Pokorný and Pavel Zbořil. In Germany, a CD was recorded, which is fully dedicated to the Beatles' music.
